Is there a difference between “Mirky” and “Murky”?

I think Mirky means obscured by darkness and Murky means obscured by fog or muddy water. Is there a difference?

  1. IRONMIKE Says:

Although I’ve never seen it before, mirky is described in the dictionary as a variant spelling of murky.

  2. *≈STEVIE≈* *≈B≈* Says:

They mean the same but as IRONMIKE says I`ve never seen the variant `mirky`.
