How do i switch from ocella to ortho tri cyc?

im finishing up on placebo pills of ocella this week and i just got my period………. when do or how do i switch to ortho tri cyc………. i ran out of ocella so i have to switch to ortho……. any help…….?? after i switch how long do i have to use a back up method?………………… thanks for readingg

You are switching from one hormone based birth control to another similar one, so you just start the new pills on the day after the old ones run out. If you just keep taking a pill every day, you don’t need a back up method for protected ***.
