What was the worst book you have ever read?
November 28th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I have read some pretty horrid books and i was curious what other books people have read and thought were bad.
Wow its only been posted for 5 minutes and I have like 30 results. Btw I dispised “The Giver” with an eternal passion. Any one agree?

Stephen King is amazing. But I would say any of those romance novels involved highlanders (and written by middle-aged women), that my sister reads. -shiver-

January 21st, 2010 at 17:34
I can’t remember what it was called, but it was about this couple who could sense each others thoughts and crap, and the author tried to make it really spiritual, but it was just way over the top cheesy. I didn’t even finish it.
I also recently read Twilight and that was pretty bad. The writing was horrendous.
January 22nd, 2010 at 00:55
Prep. There were some exciting parts but others were just stupid and insanly boring.
twilight also, it was good but she described like grass for like 12 pages and it just got boring.

Unfortunately, if a book is really bad, I CAN’T read it. I basically had to make dates/times/vocabulary cards for all my textbooks because I just could not focus on the writing. If a book I have chosen to read (as opposed to having been assigned) stinks, I close it and move on.

The Curious Incident of the Dog

I Heard The Owl Call My Name.
*hate that book!!!!* I read the first page and was like what the heck!? I had to force myself to read it because I needed to read it for school. It took me like a MONTH to read.

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have To Kill You.
It’s a totally bogus spy school book about a girl who has a crush on a normal boy.
The reason why I **** it so much is because the author actually censors “bitch”.
I’m sorry, but if you believe in censorship, you can’t be an author.
The worst thing is, Disney is looking to make a movie out of it.

people are so crazy about catcher in the rye and i read it, a long time ago, but i hated it. i can understand people liking how its written or something along those lines but its just plain stupid…the plot and the entire story is terrible. i was actually mad after every time i read that book. i know reading is supposed to bring out emotion but i was mad at the characters and the author.
February 4th, 2010 at 17:32
The Chronicles Of Narnia. Very slow and hard to follow. Never read the giant book with like 700 hundred pages. I couldn’t get through chapter one.

the old man and the sea.
February 14th, 2010 at 05:59
Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton. My friend was trying to get me into the series and I couldn’t get through the first book due to stupid vampire cliches, bad fashion (even for the time it was written), an intensely annoying main character, horrifying grammar and usage errors, and a completely predictable plot. I took great satisfaction in tossing that book into the garbage.
February 14th, 2010 at 14:49
the adventures of huckleberry finn i was forced to read it for school ugh it was long and boring
February 15th, 2010 at 09:23
‘The Da Vinci Code’ was pretty dire.
February 15th, 2010 at 18:43
I love all the books I read, except for the Twilight series. No plot, just descriptions of Edward and attempts at character development.
