how to get sound on laptop?

so the other day I did the thing where you clear the computer of everything so its like new. But the sound driver isnt on it anymore and I dont have sound for my laptop. How do i get it back on? it is a windows xp inspiron 2200 model btw

Is it true that apple computers can’t run some programs that are important for engineering?

I’m looking for a laptop, and planning to go into engineering. I have 2 questions:
No Comments1. I’ve heard that there are some programs that you would need for engineering, and that they just work on windows not mac’s. Is this true?
2. I’ve also heard that to get around this problem, you can install windows on your mac computer. If you do this could you still use apple to go on the internet, therefore decreasing the chances of getting a virus?
I am adding this to “engineering” instead of, say, “computers” because i would assume that engineers and engineering students would be the best to answer this question because they would KNOW what they themseleves use.

Can I save an Excel document on my desktop and the network simultaneously?

I have a document on my company’s server. When I open the file from my desktop and make changes, I’d like to hit the “Save” button and have the changes saved in both locations. Putting a shortcut on my desktop doesn’t help because when I leave the office my laptop will not be able to open the file.
No CommentsI know I can manually save the document in both locations, but I’d really like to have it saved automatically in both spots. Does anyone know if and how this is possible?
